The first step is to think of your dream location. Maybe that is Hawaii, or Venice, or Fiji. Then download the guide to start earning your free hotel nights. It is really very simple to do, and I’ll walk you through it.
Where you should go
If you really want to maximize value, Iâd recommend considering less popular tourist destinations that are equally spectacular. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Europe
For hotel nights, Croatia, Hungary, Greece and Portugal all offer incredible value within Europe, along with a nice mix of some of the best culture, architecture, beaches, shopping, and food.

Croatia
Croatia includes the largest ancient Roman ruins outside of Italy, along with the same warm Mediterranean culture, delicious food, and a beautiful coastline. This is all available for a fraction of the cost of Italy, and with far fewer other tourists. If youâve always dreamed of pressing fresh olive oil, or wandering picturesque fields, Croatia is a great place to do it.

Hungary
Hungaryâs capital of Budapest harkens to the glorious days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Think of Vienna at its height in the last century.
Set on the famous Danube River, it boasts exquisite architecture, interesting museums, beautiful river walks, incredible bakeries, a large classic cathedral, and great shopping. The prices in Hungary are also typically about 30% less than rest of Europe.

Greece
Greece offers some of the most beautiful beaches and remote islands in the world, along with hidden hot springs, ancient culture and mythology, large metropolitan cities, and so much rich, fresh, and varied food. After youâve tasted a tomato and feta in Greece, your taste buds will never be the same. Nor will you idea of a beautiful sunset be the same after witnessing a sunset on a private Greek Island beach.

Portugal
Portugal offers the elegance of an ancient empire, a unique and proud global culture, a warm and friendly community, delicious seafood, pastries, and wine, as well as some of the most famous surfing beaches in the world.

Southeast Asia
Most of Southeast Asia is especially good for redeeming hotel points. This is because the cost of living is lower, so highest level luxury can be had for a fraction of the cost. Good choices are Bali in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, India, and Sri Lanka.
While all of these destinations offer incredible beaches, delicious fresh produce, warm local communities, and world-class luxury, here are some additional highlights of each:

Bali
Bali is a country of deep spirituality and diversity. You can experience beaches, mountains, volcanoes, and ancient temples. There are temples everywhere, from actually in the ocean, to high in the mountains.
Bali is also a hotspot for the health conscious and any special diet can easily be accommodated here. I loved to buy large bundles of fresh herbs to add to everything – and drink fresh coconut water all day long. The sarongs and silks are especially beautiful in Bali and great for gifts and home décor.

Thailand
From the buzzing, modern city of Bangkok, to the historic, rich temples, unique ancient culture, and world-class beaches, Thailand has so much to offer. Some of the best historic temples including the Emerald Buddha and a temple telling the story of Ramayan, for the spiritual seeker to explore.
In addition, the food in Thailand is especially delicious, and typically fresh and varied. There are also a few areas, such as Hua Hin, not yet overrun by tourists.

Vietnam
Vietnam boasts not only some of the lowest prices in Southeast Asia, but also unique natural geography. Ha Long Bay, in Northeast Vietnam, is a unique, not-to-be-missed wonder with its turquoise water and towering mountain-islands. The houseboats are also unique to Vietnam, although with distinctive influences from China and Japan. Be sure to visit one (or many!) of the many traditional shrines and Buddhist temples.
Philippines
The Philippines includes many islands completely free from crowds of tourists. In addition to incredible snorkeling, scuba diving, and other water activities, the Philippines offers its own unique cuisine and warm hospitality. For spirituality, you can experience a mix of Buddhism with local traditional temples and shrines.

India and Sri Lanka
India and Sri Lanka both combine incredible luxury with world-class beaches. There are far fewer tourists in either India or Sri Lanka than Thailand or Bali. The real appeal of India and Sri Lanka for the spiritual traveler is the vast number of temples and spiritual sites that inspire a sense of higher purpose and wisdom.
Unfortunately, the best hotels in India and Sri Lanka are mostly located in the large cities, while the temples are spread in remote regions or smaller areas. But you can use your free hotel nights an excellent luxury start and end point before a pilgrimage to more of the spiritual sites.
Australia and New Zealand

If you get off the main tourist track, Australia and New Zealand offer incredible luxury and value. Consider visiting Cairns, Adelaide, or Perth in Australia, and Christchurch or the far North in New Zealand.
All of these beautiful location will allow you to experience the majestic natural beauty of these places as well as quirky local cafes, interesting boutiques, breathtaking hikes, and holy sites of the indigenous local cultures.
These important spiritual indigenous cultures include the Moari in New Zealand and the many aboriginal tribes of Australia.
